How do I remove the spindle from a 1991 240? I'm changing wheel bearings and the old outer wheel bearing is stuck on the spindle and I can't get it off. A mechanic suggests I may need to get a new spindle, but I need to get the old one off first. Any suggestions?

    The spindle isn't separate from the strut eg.

    Try cutting off the bearing with a Dremel tool.

    What exactly do you mean? That the nut and washer are off and the outer wheel bearing ( small one ) is preventing the hub from coming off the spindle, or do you mean one of the inner bearing races is stuck on the spindle and the hub is off with it left behind?
