bolt size for Trailer Hitch to frame 700

I an OEM Trailer Hitch I took off my old 245 then 745, I'd like to put on my 765, but I misplaced the bolts.

Anybody know the correct specs on the bolts so I can pick some up on the way home?

M12-1.75 x 40mm. 7 or 8 bolts, depending on the brand of hitch.

Thanks, (4) M12-1.75x40mm has got it hanging in place through the single flat plate portion of the OEM hitch for the time being.
The other 4 were too short to reach through the square tubing section of the OEM hitch, but knowing the diameter and pitch, I ca go back to the store and get some longer bolts to finish the job.

You sure it is an OEM hitch? The only one I ever had was an oval section with the weird 2" x 3" Volvo-specific (I assume) receiver.

I am still considering a Hidden-Hitch for the 940 or the 240 sedan (depends on if the 240 becomes a LeMon or not).

Absolutely positive it is the OEM. right down to,the wierd 2" x 3-1⁄4" draw-bar that was a delaer only item (that cost me as much as a complete aftermarket hitch would have cost):

To do the job properly, it took:
(2 per side) M12 x 1.75 x 40 bolts through the flat plate to frame.
(2 per side) M12 x 1.75 x 60 bolts through the box section to the frame.

One of these days I'm going to get some square tubing and flat plate and my wire feed MIG welder and make up a few more draw bars so I can be ready to go with 1-7⁄8" in. & 2-5⁄16" balls aready installed should the need arise.

Interesting...not at all like the one I had on my '76...then transfered to '79, and '81. Since lost when the '81 was sold in my absence after a tree fell on it.

Mine was an oval section laterally between the pieces of plate with the mounting holes. The wierd rectangular reciever was well under the car such that only a practiced eye could even see it when the ball was removed (integrated ball & drawbar...no changing ball diameters).

I am contemplating making my own class II hitch for the 940 but I do not have a good pattern...never having actually seen 940 hitch. I know I could just template the holes and go for it but I am methodical kind of guy on that sort of thing.
