Has anyone painted the front air dam? 200 1991

I'm looking to paint the airdam to match the body color. Has anyone tried this with a rattle can or does a body shop need to do it with some paint with flex additive in it?

Thanks.

Will

I usually refinish air dams with undercoating spray, but painting in body color is becoming more the norm, it seems. Clean the air dam completely and spray with an adhesion modifier before painting if you are using conventional paint. Rust-O-Leum and other companies have "plastic primer" paints to use under, for example, enamel. You can also buy Krylon's Fusion, which will go right down over plastic, and there are similar paints now from all the major manufacturers.
