Hello All
i have around 1/2 to 3/4 volt loss from alternator to battery and when the cooling fan kicks on the motor is dipping down in rpms.
is there a problem if i run a big wire from alt + to battery positive post?
at least for a couple weeks until i can get it sorted out and properly fixed up.
i must have a hole in the positive wire from the starter to the battery.
Even if i did not have a problem would this be unwise?

You might be asking for a fire to occur. Why not just replace that cable? Don't think it might take 5 minutes.
