Lowering a 1989 780 Bertone with IRS? 700 1989

I have a 1989 780 Bertone with the IRS and Nivomat set up. I was thinking about lowering the car but I found myself wondering what that would involve since it is not set up like any other 7 series car besides maybye the 760.

You possibly could go to the standard shock changeover as outlined in the FAQ, and cut some non-IRS springs for the actual lowering. Or possibly use the stock small springs, which if cut would become 'stiffer'.
I don't know or have any idea how the Nivomats would work in a lowered situation.
Hmm; if the Niv's were not working the car would sag, which may provide the lowering by itself; then 'normal' shocks may be all you'd need.

Yes, the 760 has the same suspension afaik, and I believe the early 960 was the same as well.
