Fuel Filler Neck Clamp Size? 200 1992

When I fill up the tank I get spillage and a puddle forming under the car. The tank is relatively new, but the fuel filler neck is old, off of my old '83. I suspect it is compromised and I want to replace it with a new version, which I have. It appears the clamp that clamps the filler neck to the tank is quite rusted, and I can't tell if the rubber seal there is defective or what exactle is causing the leak. I don't see any staining at the tank seams or anything like that, and the leak stops once I stop filling the tank, so I'm pretty sure it has to do with the old filler neck. Anyway, I was hoping someone might know the size of that clamp off-hand so I can source a stainless replacement before I undertake the filler neck swap. Thanks very much.

So the part number is 1254446. According to TASCA that part is discontinued! Is there an aftermarket replacement? Also, I think the clamp might be a special size or shape. I'll send you some photos later today. Thanks!

Where did you get your new version and do you have a part number available?
Maybe a pic too? Send it to xraybob240@comcast.net

Thanks.

I got the "new" one of a late model 240 in the scrap yard. Someone had pulled the tank with filler neck and then just left it there, so it was easy for me to grab. It is the newer version with little "door" whereas the old one on the car is just the open tube. I'll check the part number when I get home and send you a photo. All the rubber seals are still on the new neck, but the clamp was missing. Thanks.
