where does this nipple go? 700

Hey all- I have a 740 gle 1990.... While hanging out under the car changing the oil tonight, I saw this black can-looking thing along the bottom of the drivers side strut...there are two nipples sticking straight down, one nipple has a 3 way rubber connection with one Small metal feeling tube going towards the front headlight and the other goes up to this squishy thing next to the throttle body...

Now there is just Nothing on the other nipple- it's just sucking air and I have no idea where it should connect.. Any thoughts?

There is an electrical connection on top of the black canister like box.

where does this nipple go? 700

That's part of your cruise control. Nothing connected to that nipple. It's factory plugged and doesn't suck anything.

Weird, and awesome. I'm actually terrified to press my cruise control button anyway (it might be a seat eject button?? :-) .)

sounds like the charcoal canister. One end goes to the vent on the gas tank...the other goes to a vac line on the throttle body
