I've never seen a 122 (or 1800/140) with this style:



I just purchase a set of NOS ones, and just wondering how unusual they are.

I have seen that exact pair lots of times!! :-) :-)

Those belonged to our shop until you bought them today from my brother.

I tried selling them a couple of times on ebay for more money many years ago and obviously they did not sell.

I have seen several 122 and 140 Volvos with those headrests and we have a couple of customers with them installed in their Volvos. That headrest set was available from Volvo from their accessories catalog. The black and white picture you posted is right from 1 of the Volvo accessories catalog.

At the same I listed the above mentioned headrest set on eBay, we successfully auctioned off a really rare optional rear headrest kit for 142 and 144 Volvos and they might have fit 242 and 244 Volvos as well.

I thought it was yours, saw your shop name "hiperfauto", the location being California, but your brother Ian's name was not familiar. I thought maybe it was just a coincidence.

I thought they were a pretty good deal. I can't believe nobody wanted them before now.

Hello,

Ian has been in the background, but is a vital part of Hi Performance Automotive Service.

He usually sticks to the mechanical repairs, but he finally decided to let go of some of the performance parts and Volvo collectibles.

As you can see, we have some interesting old Volvo stuff and there is more to come.
