Our '91 240 wagon has some pretty severe wear on the engine wire harness (see photo attached). One of the wires is downright bare and may have melted its own insulation.

The outer shroud to the harness has burst and my plan is to isolate the very worn wire, check for others, and splice repair lengths to the worn wires.

But I'm curious, and I haven't seen this on the Net, is there a replacement harness available?

And, is there an easy to decipher color-code legend to help me ID what the various wires in the harness power?

Thanks. I did check with Dave's site. Mostly pre '88 harnesses which apparently were quick to degrade and need replacement.

What's great about that previous wiring diagram link is that it provides a location map of all the relays in the car. This can be really handy when you are visiting the local pick n'pull.

Additionally, for a 200 series, the relay locations really vary a lot from year to year - as witness to the linked map.
