Hello All,

I saw this video on youtube of a vicious swede 68 122 with turbo setup... in the video is says it has S80 brakes? Is possible only with the matching engine?

No connection between the two really. Unless they stuck a FWD S80 drivetrain in the 122.

Other than that it's custom work with adapting the hob to the rotor (possibly using 1800E hubs which fit on the 122 spindle, but have the later bolt pattern) and a custom caliper mount which bolts to the 122 and holds the S80 caliper in the correct spot.

Sounds interesting and expensive. I don't know if they in fact used the s80 engine. I would imagine it to be cheaper, and faster to install the s80 engine and move the firewall back. I guess in my mind I'd like to see Volvo release a new 120 series or 1800 in the C class like mini did with the cooper, or Ford with the T Bird.

The subject 122S you mention (most likely the one in the video below) apparently has a turbocharged B21/23 4 cyl mounted normally (longitudinally).



To mount the S80 drivetrain complete would be a significant task, given the fact it's a transverse mounted 6 cylinder with strut suspension.
