Jumping fuse for main f pump 1983-84

Not sure if I have this right. Jumping fuses on the 83-84 fuse panel is fuse5 for in-tank pump but is fuse 7 the main? I'm not able to get it to run. Thanks

The 25 amp blade fuse under the hood is the Main FI fuse. #5 is the tank pump.

Any fuse 6—10 is always hot on the left side as a source of +12V to the jumper wire.

+12V to fuse 5 output (right side terminal) tests the Tank pump.

+12V to fuse 5 input goes directly to MAIN pump. Pull fuse 5 to isolate for testing only the Main.

beautiful. precisely what I needed. many thanks. Last thing I want to do is get under the car with temps in the teens if it turns out to be something else. I'm going to finally start a cheat sheet and make myself a small pamphlet for the glove box. I should know this by now but it seems to elude my memory in times of trouble. Thanks again Bruce.
