slight veering when braking 120-130

hi

I have a 122s amazon.

What could cause slight veering to the left when braking.
I had new tyres fitted and had alignment checked.
The suspension is in good nick.

Many thanks

Hello,

A failing brake hose or sticking caliper can cause you symptom.

Slight veering - to some of us that sounds pretty good.

Look inside both front brake drums - one side could be grabbing - or more likely, the other is not braking as well due to contamination - a fluid leak?

Does it veer in the same direction if you drive it slowly on a level surface, eg parking lot/otherwise empty road and momentarily let your hands off the steering wheel and just let it coast?

If not then unequal brake application on the two different sides. Slightly warped disc on one side, brakes that aren't equally adjusted, sticking caliper on one side etc.

Mine did that because it had a rubber boot on the front caliper that had hung up, probably since it had been sitting for years w/o being driven.
