Lower A Arm Bushings 1800 1965

Can someone tell me how to remove and replace the lower a arm bushings without harming the a arm itself. Thanks, Cloud

Since you are asking how to do this makes me assume that you have no hyd. press or adapters to press them out. Not saying you can't do it with home made adapters and a big vise but you would be better off to have someone else with the proper equip. do it. The arms can be damaged, bent and distorted very easily if done incorrectly. Just my 2cents ....Bill

Lower A Arm Bushings 1800 1965

As I recall (been a while since i did this) I pressed them out with a ball joint removal c-clamp. Harbor freight has them or i believe you can 'borrow' one from autozone.
