1961 PV544 front suspension 444-544

I read somewhere the 1962 and later 544 front crossmember and suspension was a direct swap into a 1961 B16 car. Is this correct and if so is it recommended ?

Thanks

Ray J.

    Hello,

B16 544 has the idler arm on the crossmember.

B18 544, the idler arm bolts to the right side frame rail.

And they are not interchangeable without major modifications.

Thanks Eric. I will stay with the B16 suspension. It is totally rebuilt with IPD sway bar and Koni's. I am running a 1987 Chevy 2.5L, Toyota W58 5-speed and Ranger rear end. Hope to get it back from the body shop next week and on the road next spring.

      Thanks again.

      Ray J.
