1990 volvo 240 sedan loss of power when turning sharp left and going up hill. The vehicle slows down and will not pull some times backfires so I have to let off gas then car seems to catch itself and runs ok up hill. Just for an test took car TO parking lot and made donuts going counter clockwise and car does the same thing wants to cut out and loss of power power.

How much fuel in your tank? If it is less than 1/2 full it could be the in tank pump or hose connecting to it.

vehicle has 3/4 tank fuel ? could the intank pump be wired backwards read some place that some after market sending units where wired backwards
