nivomats in 940? 900

Hello
I have a 1993 945T with standard rear shocks. Can I install nivomats in the rear? With a loaded car, it rides low in the back (I am looking at the lines on the road in the rearview mirror). The springs may be worn out anyway. I assume I need to change out the springs as well? Is there an option to not change out the springs?
Thanks
Steve

    Check out Monroes inflatable shocks.
May be more economical than Nivomats, and fits a vehicle with standard shocks.

A compressor and a panel with gauge and operating buttons were available from Volvo as original accessory for the 740-s. They may be found on a scrapyard if you don't want to pump them up at the filling station.

I like this idea. Have you or anyone else here tried the Monroe MA-814 (Max Air Adjust) shock? It's pretty cheap ($60), and I wonder if the ride is good. I would love to find that panel and compressor that was an option on the 740. Alternatively, I could make one.

I bought my Monroes +10 years and +400000kms ago so I don't really know the exact
model. They still do their job though, must be extraordinary rubber boots that still keeps the pressure.

I'm no sporty driver, so I can't really tell how they handle on the track. For daily commuting or a 500km ride they handle well though.

I have put the Monroe Air-Adjust in our 940SE wagon to replace the Nivomats. They work well, as this car gets used to haul some pretty heavy loads of horse feed and such at times. The damping is not what one would call sporting, but it's adequate so far (about two years so far.)
