Well finally finished.
My first attempt yesterday (only messed around for about 15/20 min.) at removing the pin was a no go. Vise grips, Channel Lock pliers nothing worked. Sprayed it with CRC Freeze Off and still wouldn't budge. I figured after that I would have to cut the pin off and get some type of replacement. The assembly was on the car so there was no pounding ability in that small space. Figured today I would be pulling the assembly. I have read posts in the past about the nightmare removal and install so that was a last resort.
Today it went smoothly. I got under the car and sprayed the linkage pin with Aero Kroil, which I had never used before. Pulled the car on ramps, pulled parking brake, put tire chocks at the rear wheels, got back under, grabbed one end of the pin with vise grips and it turned without any arm/wrist pressure.
Now the CRC Freeze Off spray did have all night and all day to penetrate but...who nows?
Why didn't I use Pblaster? I have noticed the past couple jobs that I have used it (suspension work) that I was getting bad headaches. Although that could be attributed to the rusted to the bushing bolts I had a nightmare with, I'm not sure about that one either.
