Yes, the FAQ drop-down menus make searching difficult. Your frustration has inspired me to draft up a new FAQ index. Stay tuned.

Thank you.Found it. it didn't work at first. cleaned it with electrical cleaner. Looks like there are 6 spots to plug into. but while cleaning contacts I only saw 2 actual plug in spots. I got a rapid blink on middle right side.

Print out the directions. It's easier. Or, write them all down carefully.
THere are 6 places to plug the pin in to.
You want only #2 and #6.
You put the pin in, and turn the ign key to the correct place.
Then you hold the button down for the amount of time. More than 1 second, and less than 3 seconds.
        Then you count the flashes.

They are slow. Blink..... Blink.....Blink. That is 'one, one, one' which means no problem, but Only for That Socket.
You may get different results, such as 'Blink......Blink..Blink......Blink..Blink..Blink' This is 'one, two, three'
Then you do it for the other socket.
Note carefully how many blinks there are, for which socket, 2 or 6.

        Then we can help you.

FAQ Expanded Menu Version (non-drop down) 700

        Alright here it is:
        http://40mph.com/Brickboard_700-900_FAQ_Expanded_Index_Version/index.html

I offer expanded FAQ index as a demonstration of how if the drop-down menu contents are freed and expanded onto one page it becomes much easier to locate info and navigate. There is a reason why users often say "I can't find it in the FAQ!". I heavily use this site and I can't find things either even when I know they are there hidden in drop-down menus.

Having the index expanded onto one page allows searching of page. Allows better search engine indexing too. The drop-down menu hides data making comparison of topics nearly impossible.

In doing this design, I realized some pages could be re-grouped to make more sense. I've also alpha ordered the Site Descriptive files and renamed that section itself to "Specific Procedures, Repairs and Reference Guides". Some of those titles were renamed to group better as well. Of course, re-grouping could be further refined but this is a start.

I would like to see this style of index replace the existing one. Of course, absolutely feel free to use my coding as I tried to make clean and structurally logically.

I will start a new thread in the general forum as well to get user feedback.

        DaN

FAQ Expanded Menu Version (non-drop down) 700

A giant step in the right direction.

I too find the present FAQ organization and "front end" clumsy and unfriendly to the occasional user.

    does this help:

The car in picture is a non-turbo Rex/Regina, so some things look different than on your Turbo car, but the OBD is in exactly the same place: next to the drivers side strut tower support.

As far as how to use it, the FAQ explains much more clearly than I can. Unless you're in Richmond, VA, in which case I'll give you a hands-on tutorial.
