Rotary Club... 120-130 1967

Hello All:

1967 Volvo 122S Wagon. I need to replace my front rotors and also do a job on the calipers. Everything is stock. What do you recommend for sources for the rotors and the caliper kits? Thanks in advance all.

Cheers,

Pooch

Have you measured the calipers? After reading Eric's post a while back regarding minimum thickness, I'd be surprised if you have to replace them rather than just clean them up.(turn minimally)

Rebuilding calipers is a lot less expensive and not that difficult if you have access to compressed air. (I believe that with some care, you could also just use the hydraulics in the car to pop the pistons, though I've not done it that way.) You might need to replace the pistons - stainless is an option.

I replaced both front and rear brakes on by '67 122S 4dr lats year. I bought all parts, (rotors, calipers, drums, wheel cylinders, etc) from Joe Lazenby; Susquehanna Spares, 3725 Elder Rd.; Harrisburg, PA 17111. 717-921-2644 or 717-249-0565.

      Hello Fred and George:

Many thanks to you both. I have been out of it for quite a while and getting back up to speed. The mind just does not hold certain things.

      Cheers,
