Weird crank no start when warm situation 200

I have a 92 volvo 240gl and have been having issues here and there with the car not starting especially when really warm (100 degrees plus some days), after being run for awhile or if parked on a slope (seemingly a slope with the front right end on the lowest ground). The car runs perfectly once started and will not experience any issues at all until it is turned off and attempted to be restarted within 30-60 minutes. Generally i can get the car to start after several attempts if the temperatures aren't too extreme otherwise I am relegated to using starter fluid and will get a start after a couple tries. I assume this is a fuel issue and know that the fuel pump under the hood is in working order and feel that if it were the tank pump i would not be getting as good of performance as I have been while driving. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

Could be vapor lock. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? The residual pressure in the system may not be holding. Perhaps a leaky check valve on the fuel pump.

I do not have a fuel pressure gauge, and I've seen enough posts here to think what you're saying sounds about right...is there something i can do short of replacing the fuel pump that would solve the problem? and would the angle the car is parked on also be a symptom of a faulty check valve?

The check valve can be replaced without replacing the pump.

The check valve is relatively cheap, but it would be nice if you could know for sure that it is the problem before going through the trouble. I'm not sure how you could test this without a fuel pressure gauge, though. Maybe someone else has an idea.

After a tune up, replacing both fuel pumps, checking a replacing fuses, fuel pump relay, ect. I finally decided to change my coil. It fixed the hot start issue, although it still occurs, but a lot less frequently.
