Steering maintenance - basic replacements 700

My Volvo 740 Turbo steering has gotten stiff the last few weeks. Not broken. But does not correct so well. Especially at low speed. Has fluid and does not leak fluid. It is not broken but what are some base line things to replace without doing a full rebuild.

    Steering maintenance - basic replacements 700

    Start with a fluid flush (see the FAQ for details) using synthetic ATF. If it is still stiff, then your rack is probably worn. It does not need immediate replacement but will cause a lot of steering effort.
