weak A/C from center vents 200 1992

Good evening! On the 92 sedan, the A/C has me wondering. It's been converted to r134, and the side vents (near the doors) blow much stronger than the two under the dash. Since a converted 92 doesn't exactly put out arctic cold, I was wanting to get as much out put as possible. Any ideas where I could check?

Thanks, in advance

You could have two things going on.

The outside air vacuum vent motor is not closing off.

The other could be the heater valve is not shutting all the coolant off from the engine.

You will have to pull both side covers on the console to check both of these out.

On the left side feel the inlet and the outlet of the valve when the engine is hot and running.

On the right side shine a light way up or feel behind the console to verify if the door is moving and closing up tight when operating the front control buttons.

    Phil
