Wiring Harness Connections

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of replacing the engine wiring harness in my 84 245. I cut out (literally tore it to pieces) the old harness without taking pictures of all the connections, and now I'm a little overwhelmed trying to put the new one in. Been trying to decipher the wiring diagrams but they're pretty confusing. Is there a diagram out there that has what wires go to where? For what it's worth the new harness part number is 3515397.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

What it's worth is apparently around USD$356 delivered.

No, there are not any harness drawings. One alternative is to make your own list of parts it serves, i.e. injectors, idle motor, TPS, ECT, ECU, and using the wiring diagram, reconstruct the design. Best would be to find an aftermarket or salvage replacement, or at the very least, another rotten harness so you can start over. Lots of history here, and one aftermarket harness for sale: http://www.davebarton.com/volvoharnesses.html

Evidence has been found that William Tell and his family were avid bowlers. Unfortunately, all the Swiss league records were destroyed in a fire, ...and so we'll never know for whom the Tells bowled.
