First question on this has to do with radio codes. Original radio asking for codes as I unplugged the battery. Any help?

Really, just a phone call to any Volvo dealer giving them the VIN will give you the code of the radio that came with the car.

If it was replaced, then pull it out and give the dealer the serial number which will allow them to look it up. Quite easy and done all the time.

-look thru the owners manual, usually a prior owner has written it in somewhere.

-call the dealer, hope there's someone left who worked there in the 90's and will know what you're talking about. With the VIN, they should be able to provide you with the code.

-remove the radio from the dash and hope that someone before you has written the code on the body of the radio. If the radio has been transplanted from another car (like the one that came in my car had been) this may be your only hope.

In addition to John's suggestions have a look at other places in the car where a P.O. may have written it down, such as the ABS warning labels, inside glovebox door, etc. Four (4) digits, each from 1 to 6.

On my S90, I found it scrawled on the inner side of the fuse panel cover, on the glued-on paper with the diagram of the fuses.
