445 interior upgrade 444-544

Hi all,

I have a 1957 volvo duett that I am slowly fixing up. Now that it is more or less mechanically sound (it is my daily driver) I would like to improve the interior. The seats need to be reupholstered, but there does not seem to be kit that I can buy for the interior code of the car (118). Does anyone know where a kit might be found? Or, do you think an auto upholstery shop could match the old pattern? I'd prefer to keep it as original as possible.

I have tried to submit a pic of interior.

Thanks,

Nicholas

Looks like you could get a few more weeks out of those seats. Congrats on driving your car, they belong on the road. If you have the $ , take it to a good upholsterer, and ask them to match, he or she should be able to show you samples before they do the work.

Have you checked out SwedishTreasures, VintageImportParts, VeteranProducktor, etc? I think most source their stuff from Genuine Classic Parts, in Sweden...

Yes, I have checked, but they don't have material for code 118.

Bummer... You might have to go with something different, pay for custom (a good shop should be able to match it if you have a sample), or try to source something used from Europe.

My Amazon wagon came with red interior, but everything was so shot, it was easy to choose a new color and start over. I went with a black (which actually looks like a very dark chocolate brown.

There are a number of European Volvo guys selling stuff on TB - mainly E-Codes and whatnot, but maybe one of them could help?
