Manual Transmission - Clutch Noise 200 1977

I recently swapped an M46 from an 82 parts car into my 1977 242DL. When I did I replaced the clutch but did not replace the throwout bearing.

The car shifts well but it makes a "rubbing" noise when it is in neutral and the clutch pedal is released. It's not a loud noise, but it is noticeable when idling. I tried adjusting the clutch cable thinking that might have something to do with it, but to no effect.

Could this be a symptom of a bad/worn throwout bearing? What else could it be?
