1990 760 A/C controls 700

I have a 1990 760T with the "ECC" electronic climate controls, and it is showing 121 code ground to short, I understand that, but any suggestion on where to start would be great. Also the A/C is working great, just keeps flashing, only thing I have noticed is the electric fan will not come on, I have replaced the relay ,but it never turns the fan on, if you supply power the fan runs fine. Again any help would be appreciated.

The 1-2-1 "Short to Ground" code points to the Cabin Temp Sensor, located in the ceiling with the dome light. That's all I know about ECC, having the book but no experience.

Well, I do know one more thing: In these ECC and MCC systems, the Fan does NOT run automatically when the ACC is ON. It's controlled by many factors, as seen by AC system pressure sensors and engine temperature. I haven't heard my '93 940 MCC system fan run with AC on in years, except with prolonged idling in hot weather.

Not sure, but it sounds like you are not sure about the fan.

It has to work, and it should come on when the air is on.

Is it coming on when it gets good and warm in traffic? That is the main thing.

Hopefully someone with more expertise in the electrical will chime in, and this bump will help.

    I wish you well.
