HELP! It won't start. 200

It wouldn't start. I left it at work and took the bus home. It's a 92 240 5speed. Generally doesn't give me any problems, but this afternoon it just wouldn't start. Cranked like a champ - but, just wouldn't start. For all my cranking it didn't seem like I could get one cylinder to fire even once.

I didn't check the spark, but it had a fairly recent tuneup. I say it generally doesn't give me any problems, but on rare and occasions I've had it cut out while driving. Always started right back up.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

    HELP! It won't start. 200

Sounds like mine when the new cheap aftermarket coil went out. It would occasionally cut out for a few seconds, then a few minutes, and then finally stopped cold. It sat for months while I checked just about everything except the coil....

I probably would have never checked the coil either. My problem is different thought. Its been starting fine since that last episode.

I have been having a similar problem, but its just cold starts in the AM. It then runs a little rough but is fine after it warms up and is fine all day.

This isn't really what I'm seeing. Morning starts are usually ok. This was an afternoon episode, and it wouldn't catch for anything. Although you know, this does seem to take a little cranks to start in the morning as compared to our old 1988.

    Timing Belt
Crank positioning sensor and Fuel pump relay would be my first places to look
