Questions about salvaging parts 120-130 1967

I have the chance to pick through a couple 122s. They're both wagons, and are basically rusty lawn ornaments (only one has an engine, no tires, etc. My question is this:

What parts should I look to salvage, and what is not worth going for? I'm fixing up a 1967 wagon of my own, so I will probably end up using most of what I pull off. I appreciate any feedback you guys can give me.

Thanks,

Luke

I have bought and parted out a few Volvos over the years. How much you keep is really up to you and will depend largely on how much storage space you have and how much time you have to strip cars. In my case I have tended to strip out and store as much as I can - usually just scrapping the bare shell and any doors that are too far gone. It is a lot easier when it is a basket case you are dealing with - often it is quicker and easier to gas axe or use a cutoff wheel to remove the bits you want. In New Zealand there are not many Amazons around so everything has a value to the enthusiast - particularly if the alternative it buying those hard-to-get parts abroad.

Well the rear gates from wagon are almost always rusted out. Check those. The latch in the lower gate is often shot, check if it's worth pulling those.

Where are you? What year is the wagon? Carb configuration? M41 transmission (if you grab that, take the driveline as well)?

If you can take some photos and post them, I'm sure you will have a few people chime in with suggestions and thing they spy that they need for their own projects.

But as Neil said, it's how much space you have to store stuff?
