How noisy is your A/C Evaporator? 700 1990

Howdy all. I am just wondering how loud everyone else's A/C is - like when you shut off the A/C And car after driving. Do you get a loud hissing noise, or is it quiet? My car also does it while the car is running with the A/C on.

    Our 940 does the hissing when turned off, but not while running. This is with a new compressor (two years old) ..a China version with more pumping power than the OEM part.

    Make sure you have the proper amount of Freon in there, and there is the expansion valve to consider.

    A few years back, I took it to a shop to check freon. I am thinking he added too much, and it started making weird noises while driving with the air on.

    I ignored it to my chagrin .. compressor eventually went bad.
