Way stations on a fairly long trip across the northern US 120-130

Hello all,

I'm contemplating a trip in late June for a homecoming in Winnipeg, MB, starting from Kelowna, BC. This in Veronica, my trusty '69. I've done the Canadian route endless times, but it's been at least 20 years since going via the US.
I haven't decided between I90 and US2, the latter route being truly nostalgic for me.
I would like to hear from any Volvo fanatics along either route (or a 3rd alternative) where I could drop in, shoot the breeze, share a beer, perhaps borrow a tool if need be. I'm not looking for lodging or free food, simply a few minutes with like minded folks.

Cheers,

I suppose I'm a bit south of you here in northern CO...

But maybe I'll solicit a reciprocating visit... thinking Alaska, July-August. In the 1800ES.

    we'll see...

Love to see in July - August, Matt. Not the most direct route from Colorado to Alaska, but only a few hours longer. However there are a lot of really neat Volvo guys in Calgary.

      Cheers,

Well, I'd love to see you and we ARE (more or less) on the same highway (US 75, I-29, etc)
but unless you are going by way of Tulsa, Dallas, etc I am a LOT out of your way.
In fact I have been interested in traveling the route you cite, having never been in
    that part of the country.
Not sure I would do it in a 122, at least without substantial pre-trip maintenance!

Yes, George, you're a little far south. Thanks for the invite however. Maybe someday...

      Cheers,
