Is this the right Cat? 200

I got delivery on a catalytic converter yesterday from FCP Groton and it doesn't look like the previous cat. Considering they another incorrect part I'm wondering if this is the correct one and just has a slightly different design.

I have a 1992 245 non-california. It's Davico DV008, ref #8551608. Part listing here http://ow.ly/9YXdO

See picture below. Is this the right part? I photographed it next to one of my old cats.

The length looks a hair long, that may just be the photo. The angles look good, which is the key to good fit.

The criteria seems to me: will fit in the space available? Why exactly don't you think this is true? The shape of the cat is fine as long it's not going to touch the car.

If you end up returning, I would go magna-flow brand; quality fit and great price.

240's are so common, it seems hard to believe any manufacturer would mess up it's fit.

Just installed and it fits better than the old. Slightly longer, which is good. I was just confused because the shape of the converter was different. Seems to run well. Now I'm off for inspection. I have a bad feeling that my O2 sensor is busted though.

Cool that it fits! If you need a new O2, try O'Reilly for a Bosch direct-fit. The one for my 740 was $62 and the universal was like $65! If you want to mess with wiring, there are cheaper Bosch universals that fit Mustangs... see FAQ...
