brake light goes on randomly while driving. Not the parking brake light the brakes function normally a complete brake job was performed about a year ago. This has just started to occur recently.

I agree with Randy. Also check around the bleeder nipples to see where the fluid is going.

Does this only happen stepping on the brakes? If not, could be running lights. Check your sockets where it goes into the taillight assembly. The socket is probably not making good contact with the circuit board. Before you pull a socket, block your brakes so the brake lights are on. Then just wiggle each socket for the brakelights. Then do the same thing with just the running lights on. You may find the culprit that way. Don't mix up the white and black sockets. They have a purpose where they are.
