OEM Part Numbers for Front Suspension Parts 200 1990

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could give me the part numbers for:

1. The large flat washer that goes underneath the strut piston nut/sits on top of the strut mount. Last year when I had the front suspension apart, for some reason there was a washer on the left side but not the right side.

2. The bolts at the bottom of the strut anchor plate (there are four bolts on each side of the car-pretty sure all four are the same) that attach to the strut assembly.

Hopefully someone can get me these part numbers, I looked at the diagrams on Tasca site but couldn't find what I needed. Seems they changed there site a little while ago and it is worse and seems to come up with less diagrams. And over the phone, there parts counter guy...what parts counter guy??? Ugh.

Thanks in advance,
Travis

ANSWER OEM Part Numbers for Front Suspension Parts 200 1990

Here is the data that I have on those parts. This is from exploded parts diagrams received from Tasca about three years ago. I used these diagrams for two '92 240's (244, 245) within the past three years.

Washer OEM p/n: 986488 referenced from Diagram 72 part 13. From experience, I would be ready to place two on each side. I have gotten the nut above in one of two different depth dimensions. With the smaller depth nut, it is more difficult to reach that nut firmly with a 15/16" offset wrench. When I get this smaller depth, I raise the nut with additional washers.

Flange screw OEM p/n: 985039 referenced from Diagram 61 part 22. My p/n differs from an earlier poster. I think that poster entered a typo (945039). You can google the part numbers to confirm for your self.

    For the fun of Volvos,
    Mike

Just go to a well stocked Auto supply store with a sample of each in your hand.

Stuff like bolts and washers you just buy...matching the size and thread pitch...SAE or Metric. Any competent supply counter guy can help you out. They have boxes of bolts and washers.

Tell them what it is for....ie shock tower to ball joint mount so they give you the "hardness" you need.

      Hi CB,

That was my idea initially, best around here is NAPA but they didn't seem to have much in the way of metric bolts and the washer is a bit of an odd size. That and I would have to have parts on hand before I start the job-I do my work late Saturday afternoon into Sunday and NAPA is closed unfortunately.

      Thanks,
      Travis
