I am toying with buying a fairly rough 63 544 that I may part for my 62 project. It runs and drives but doesn't have much else going for it. My drive train is fine already, does anybody know what I could get for the engine, tranny & rear end? I will try to save the whole car if I can, within reason. I just want to make it within my financial limits. I don't know if it's a B-18 or B-20 yet.

Where are you?

You might find some one with an earlier car that would want the rear end (if it's a 4.10 rather than a 4.56). Engine, if running might get you about $200 for the right person who had to have one but you might sit on it for the next
ten years. The transmission is the same way but it's more in the $100 range.

All and all they are not worth a huge amount...

After your input and thinking it through I figure the extra drive train may be most useful to me since both of my cars use the B-18. 122s is staying on indefinitly and the 544 might just as well if I bond with it.
