Stainless steel breake hoses 700

Anyone try the Techna Fit brake hoses from FCPGroton? I'm think of changing my hoses wlong with outher upcoming brake work soon.

Am I likely to encounter problems in the change out? If it's a hassle I may just skip it.

    Hi Paul,

I'll agree with Steve that the stainless brake lines are a bad idea.
The OEM rubber parts last 15 years+, so whats with SS? Some sales BS.
also there's a problem with electrolysis with SS near baser metals/ steel for instance.

I wonder what a stainless muffler system destroys while it's living among all the steel parts around it.

    Bill

The "stainless" part is merely a mesh sleeve around the hose. The end fittings are steel and rust as quickly as anything else. I've concluded, after two cars' worth, that they are gimmicks and not worth the investment.

I've heard as much. I think many of the people who say they see improvements would have seen similiar if they had used new rubber instead.

Were you having issues with the hoses that prompted the change out?

No issues on my cars. I thought I would get slightly firmer braking. Not really.
