cup holders--Ideas please 200

I have a cupholder that sits on the passenger seat, which works good for me, not two people. As you know, the door cupholders do not fit the larger drinks.
Does anyone have a drink holder in the armrest, if so, how is it to shift? What do other 200 driver do/use?
Thanks in advance.

I've been using the kind that 1990Volvo240 showed on ebay for the past 8 years. I installed one on each side of the front doors just above the speaker covers. Even has enough clearance when closed to allow the glovebox door to open and not hit it. They work great.

I have an aftermarket arm rest that has two cup holders built into it. Sorta like the Volvo factory armrest but with a sliding tray that goes forward with two holes for cups. Great thing but I can't remember who made it... Have the box around somewhere.

They surface rarely and now go for close to $100. ???

When I posted this same question several years ago some fine Brickboarder told me a solution I've been using ever since - a larger roll of duct tape fits relatively snugly between the two front seats on top of the emergency brake handle. Held by the pressure of the two seats it doesn't move and the hole in the roll takes almost every size drink.

The emergency brake handle provides the floor for the drink to not slip through.

Functionally perfect - aesthetically not great, I've always thought about laying some black cloth over it to hide the fact that I leave a roll of duct tape between my seats but I've never been that motivated. So much for aesthetics.!

I just jam my cup between the hand brake handle and seat. The roll of duct tape sounds like a great idea i will have to try it.

Hi,

I have one of these mounted to the front right edge of the center console, to the right of the automatic shifter.
