My resolution for the new year is to enter the resolution of any problem I submit to the Brickboard. I realize after the battle has been won, we all want to forget about the pain of it all, but anyone following the thread also wants to know which flanking action worked.

So, as many have said before, be mindful of your curious and helpful fellow Bricksters by sending off a message once your problem has been resolved.

    Great reminder. And we should try to post solutions we've figured out, from the archives or on our own.

    There's one catch: I usually post my resolution in the original message, as a reply to my own question. But if a message is days/ weeks old and has 20 replies, the solution post is probably lost in the shuffle.

    The "answered" tab should help here but this won't work for me or some others.

      Thank you for attempting to post the solution, even to yourself. Some of us read everything.

      When you post a solution, change the SUBJECT to include the word ANSWER or SOLUTION. That will also show up when doing a search...

        Although I am still looking for the "answered" tab jfh0jfh mentioned, yours is a great idea, Klaus. Perhaps we could all agree to a singular word to tag the final post; I suggest "SOLVED". Since it is your suggestion, what do you like it to be?

    I'm mostly in the 7/9 forums, but I and many others spend a lot of time trying to figure stuff out for people, and we all want to know what the result was, indeed.

        I looked for a tab or button that said "solution" or similar - I really thought this forum had one, but when it was time to close my posting, I couldn't find it, so I just followed up and posted my final resolution in my last post.
