How do I remove the lock barrel from a 244 trunk lock 200 1988

I've got the lock out of the trunklid from my 88 244 parts car, and I've been able to remove some of the clips/springs and get some of the plastic parts off, but I can't see how to remove the lock itself from the rest of the parts. Is there a way to do this, or if I want to use this part on a different car am I doomed to need more than one key?

Thanks all!

I thought there was a small pin on the side you pushed in to release - w/ the key in.

Look in the archives here; and/ or bentley/ haynes
