Just posted my '87 740 GLE for sale. To me, you can't put a price on this car. Yes it has it's flaws, but for the purposes of driving, there are none. It is a point A to B car that has never quit on me in the past 50,000 miles I've put on it, even in the worst of a blizzard. I've put tons of of work into it -- the best parts -- there's a $ amount on that. Prices for these cars are all over the place, but just in the past month I've seen them priced $4,000s, $3,000s and $2,000. Is it realistic to get $2,000? If I were rich I'd just give it to the right . . . Volvo enthusiast.

    Ask what you think it's worth, and if someone doesn't agree within a week or two, consider lowering the price.

    Explain everything you just posted (and more- like that the brickboard exists)

    For what it's worth, I just bought a beautiful 91 240 for $800. It's clean and runs well. Needs a radio

    I know the feeling, I have a 89 745 GLE, I put it on the road Oct. 2010 and have put well over 30K miles on it so far.

      Thanks for the feedback. So many people approach me about this car I'm sure one will be an interested buyer. Considering the work I've done and its fine condition, I likely won't take less than a grand for it.
