Hi,
1991 Turbo w/ ac

When I turn the fan on to blow warm air into the car, the motor or squirrel cage skreeches and squeels like crazy.

Is it usually the complete blower motor(with the squirrel cage)...
or the cage only?

Not sure if the motor is 1 or 2 terminals or how to remove and replace. I will look at previous posts for R & R.

Any help would be appreciated!

    Is this a 940SE (which has the 960 dashboard and HVAC system) or the normal 940?

    For the normal 940, it is fairly easy to remove and replace the motor/cage unit. Remove the underside of the dashboard, remove the plastic panel over the ECU, remove the ECU and its frame (disconnect the battery first!), and THEN it is simply a matter of undoing 3 screws, disconnecting the electrical plug, and gently working the unit out of the hole.

    For the 960 setup? I have no idea, but others here can surely assist.

      It is a regular 940 turbo.

      Not sure if motor is 1 or 2 terminal

        You will need a motor. It's a 2 terminal. Follow the instructions in the other post
