142 Rear Hand Brake Cable 140-160

The hand brake cable on my '73 142 is held in place by a special rubber grommet that is attached to the rear frame member about 18" before the cable goes into the rear brake drum assembly. Both of mine are broken. I doubt that they are still available but thought I would ask anyway.

I just lash the brake cable to the trailing arm with a zip-tie.
It is not a critical component (the guide, not the brake cable).

I zip tie/duct tape my cables. Without a guide the cable can rub against the tire--wearing away the outer sheathing. -- Dave

Hello,

Although not really necessary, they are still available.

I really need to get a little more serious about some of these suppliers. Can you tell me who 'VP' is and how to contact them?
