Retiring the 745T to Cali 700 1986

Well the time has come. She was a great car. Bought for $500 back with 150k miles, ran to 300k. She is tired and won't pass smog. I did a new head gasket 6 months ago and went thru everything. She probably needs a new cat. I learned about Volvos with this one. Interior is beat up from dogs and kids and an exwife.

So the state of Cali is giving me $1000 for her.

I still got the 92 745t in the garage and just picked up a 96 850 na.

Good buy old brick

Rob

Rest well, 740T. Sounds like you had a good run.

I guess I'm glad that I don't pay taxes in California. (¿Does anyone?)
I'm also glad not to live there.

What does California do with the smoggers that it buys?

crushes them; apparently you can't buy any parts from them, not even a perfect flat hood for a 240 I saw. Those are kinda rare and desirable in some circles.

They're kinda serious about clean air, and if you've spent any time in LA it's easy to see why even after all this time of cleaner vehicles; it's bad there, although not as bad as it once was.
