i am stripping out 3 very dead 1800s for spare pairs to have to build 2 other buildable 1800s. where can i buy new windshields[front and rear] for the 1800s. is it worth saving the old shields seeing that i might have problems buying new windshields.part are getting harder to find- stupid question- should i strip these 1800s to the bone?thanks

Hello,

New front and rear windshields are available.

A new front windshield to replace an obviously well used one is never a bad idea.

Although not cheap, safety becomes an issue when an old pitted windshield is used, especially at night and even worse at night in the rain.

The rear windshield is not as critical and new ones are hard to find.

AFAIK, the new rear windshields are only available with the defroster grid unless you can find a NOS one.
