Too much wine 1800 1970

I should never check out the 1800 parts on eBay after drinking a couple of glasses of wine. Impulsively bought a fuel pump repair kit the other day. I was visioning getting in my 1800 and driving it cross county (which i'd do with a few spares in the trunk...among them a fuel pump). Very nice. Two check valves a couple of sealing rings and a couple of gaskets plus a diaphragm. Unfortunately, only after it arrived and I was admiring the quality did I realize that this wasn't a kit for the Bosch electric pump(s) I have. So I re-read the listing and it said, quite prominently, that it would fit only an AC England pump. Of course, I've disassembled electric fuel pumps before. They have rotors, not diaphragms. Crap! I could've bought two more bottles of wine with what I spent on that kit. (Then what might I have purchased?)

Anyway, if anyone needs to rebuild their mechanical pump, and it's an English AC pump, or if they'e contemplating their own California trip, I'd be happy to trade this, or perhaps even donate it. I can send you a photo.

I bought a hockey jersey as a joke for a friend. I enjoy hockey, but by no means am I a big fan, but my friend is.

Did not look closely at the auction that it was listed in 'kids apparel'. Yea, no wonder it was less than half the price of all the others like it..

Yep. Beer.

duh...

Me too, and also no wine involved. I recently bid on and won an Elring head gasket that was advertised as fitting the B20F. Uh-huh, it'll fit... if you want to lower the compression ratio by about 2 1/2 or 3 points. That damned thing must be 1/8" inch thick! And oh BTW, the seller forgot to mention the asbestos warning label on the back side of the packaging!
