Front brake flexible line routing (chafing) 120-130

Doing a brake job on a new-to-me '64 122S. Previous owner(s) have done numerous modifications to much of the car (power windows / AC / suspention upgrades etc...).

Both front flexible brake lines were/are routed from the hard line bracket, down along the shock tower / in between the shock tower and inner triangle of the upper control arm. LOTS of wear and chafing.

Question: How is the flexible front break line *supposed* to be routed?

Thanks!

(under the car as we speak...).

Also, what is the bleed order for a single circuit system?

Brian

The green manual I have doesn't say anything about it but the two pictures show the line going OVER, not through, the upper A-frame.
Likewise the manual does not give an order but standard procedure is to start with the brake furthest from the master cylinder and sequentially to the closest.

I ran mine over the upper A arm. If you are worried about extra wear, then get some rubber hose, slice it down the center and put it around the rubber flex line and tape it with electrical tape. That is what I did.
