Coolant loss 900 1992

I noticed i was losing coolant 92 960 checked car this morning found coolant on ground under front of engine. Took of front plastic cover expecting to find a leaking water pump. Water pump is fine further up on the timing belt there is a pulley about 2 inches in diameter tucked in behind the serpentine idler pulley. The coolant is leaking out from behind this pulley. What part do i need to buy.
thanks
Steve.

Dear volvo426,

Hope you're well. How many miles? Have you checked around the thermostat housing? If coolant is leaking from the top of the engine, this is a potential source. Put a clean white paper towel around the thermostat housing. If coolant gets onto the paper towel, and evaporates, it will leave a stain.

It is also possible that coolant is leaking from the upper rad hose, and dribbling down into the timing belt case area.

When were the radiator and hoses last changed? These items have a working life of about 10 years. The working life will be longer in a climate with lower ambient temps and shorter in a climate with higher ambient temps. If the radiator is factory-original, it is well past the end of its working life. Change it at once!!!! Also change the radiator hoses and the heater hoses (at the back of the engine).

Please post your findings.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook

Thanks Spook
You are right its leaking where the thermostate housing goes into the engine at the back lower portion very hard to see but its wet there and running down the engine. I had the head gasket replaced 60,000 km ago and a new radiater 6 years ago.
