passenger side intercooler hose - how? 700 1992

guys,
Just got the new soft intercooler hose for the passenger side (intercooler to aluminum pipe that connnects to turbo). The old one had a huge bubble bulging out of the side like it was blowing a bubble gum bubble. I believe it is the original hose as installed and tightened in Belgium so many years ago but I can't figure out how to loosen the clamp on the intercooler side (or for that matter how in the world they tightened it). Anybody got a clue? Looks like I might have to remove the radiator - boo.

Hey guys - here's the solution: Yes it was hose #1 in that picture and I had to remove the radiator to gain access to the head of the screw on that clamp on the intercooler side. Maybe it has to do with how the Belgium people installed it back in 91 but there was definitely no way to get to it with the radiator in. Not a wasted exercise because in the course of removing all the pieces I noticed the entire headlight passenger headlight lense had separated from the headlight assy so now preparring to rtv that back together before I reassemble everything.

It's a metric worm drive clamp, but to access the bolt head you will have to remove some of the plastic air dams. Use a little penetrating oil on the head. Uses around an 8mm socket to release.

Nah, I don't think that's it. There seems to be no access from below. I'm still thinking the radiator has to come off. Has anybody done one of these lately - must be something I'm missing.

I have never seen or heard of removing the radiator to replace the intercooler hose. Hose #1 in this pic?
