    matte tach 200

I have never seen one in real life but I have 2 93 240's and I can try to explain the color and texture of the finish in these clusters. There is texture unlike the flat and shiny black finish in earlier clusters with no texture. The color of the matt clusters has a brownish hue to it and the lettering is more of an off white rather than a bright white in earlier models.
I also think the circuit board is more of a white/ tan color rather than brown.
    Hope this helps.
    Dan

      matte tach 200

      Hi Dan.
i have found maybe 4-5 over the years and now i remember what the back looks like.
the front in good cond has a kinda strange finish.
i havent seen one in a while and wanted to make sure.
      thanks for the reply
      later
      Mike

The back of the older tach's are almost flat. The back of the newer 89 (?) through 93 are not flat. Their are four screws of the right side and one to the left almost in the center. If you can see the circuit-board and if it's white then I'm 99% sure it's a matte tach. The circuit-board is a dead giveaway.

    Hope this helps,

    Ron J
