Definitely for. Smoother shifting, quieter operation. Extended the life of an ailing unit substantially before needing a rebuild.

hi sages- what is redline mtl and how is it better for the m47. think the one in my 92 calls for atf. does redline have any special additives? synthetic? where do you get it? sounds like a truckstop lubricant on route 95. 2 quarts sounds like too much.know with chrysler 3 and 4 speed stickshifters if you overfill, it gets squeezed out the input bearing shaft or tail shaft bearing. actually dont like atf in manuals because it is so thin, slow seepage is common. seepage from input shaft bearing/gasket can lead to clutch slippage and short clutch life. from what i have recently discovered about cost to rebuild m47s or get one from a junkyard clipper, i would like to maximize the life of the one i have. thanks tons oldduke
